The Canadian RaceBoat Hall of Fame and The Venue (CRHF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Curley as its first Executive Director.


Ann has many years’ experience leading tourism, museum and business management teams across Ontario. Prior to joining CRHF, she held senior management positions with the provincial Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce and the Muskoka Discovery Centre (formerly known as the Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre). “I’m thrilled to be the first to welcome friends and visitors to the visionary Hall of Fame and to The Venue, Muskoka’s new and unique event location,” said Ann.


 “Ann’s corporate Board work, business background and experience in celebrating Canada’s boat racing legacy makes her ideally suited to take the reins”, said James Smith, CRHF President. “She orchestrated the return of Muskoka’s legendary Miss Canada III and the 1934 trophy won by Lorna and Harold Wilson - the first Canadians to win any motorsport world championship – from distant American and Canadian museums. Both were centrepieces of 2015’s Women and Boating exhibition.”


CRHF is dedicated to showcasing the great Canadian race boats of the past, from tiny Seafleas to the mighty Unlimiteds, their drivers, builders, engines, and racing memorabilia. The Hall will also engage with and support Canadian youth, some of whom may dream of becoming tomorrow’s boat racing legends.
